Allied Health

Occupational Therapy Assistants
Requirements:
  • Associate degree from an occupational therapy assistant program that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
  • Two years experience.
Cardiovascular Technologists
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology from an accredited program at a community college, technical school, or vocational school.
  • Candidates must have a license.
  • Two years experience.
Radiologic Technologists
Requirements:
  • Certificates, associate's degree or bachelor's degree in radiology that must be accredited by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
  • Candidates must have a license.
  • Two years experience.
Audiologists
Requirements:
  • Master of arts degree in audiology, master of science in audiology or master of arts in speech pathology, and state license.
  • Five years experience.
Nuclear Medicine Technologists
Requirements:
  • An associate's or a bachelor's degree program in a related health field, such as radiologic technology or nursing, and a 12-month certificate program in nuclear medicine technology.
  • Nuclear medicine technologists must be licensed.
Occupational Therapists
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or a more advanced degree in occupational therapy. Occupational therapists must be licensed in order to practice. To obtain a license, applicants must graduate from an accredited educational program and pass a national certification examination that is administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Five years and up experience is a must for this position.
Radiation Therapists
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in radiation therapy. Candidates are required to pass a certification exam through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Must submit a drug screening and criminal background check and show proof of current immunizations.
  • CPR certification is also required.
  • Two years experience is highly recommended.
Physical Therapists
Requirements:
  • Graduate degrees from accredited academic programs in physical therapy. (master's or doctoral degrees preferred). All PTs must be licensed by their states. While each state has its own requirements, most require that candidates have graduate degrees in physical therapy from accredited programs and pass the National Physical Therapy Examination. Some states may have additional requirements, such as jurisprudence exams.
  • Two years experience and up is a must.
Optometrists
Requirements:
  • Four year program from an optometry school, accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education/ American Optometric Association.
  • Must have a license.
  • Four years experience.
Pharmacists
Requirements:
  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) 4-year professional degree, and must be licensed.
  • Two years experience.

Requirements:
  • Associate's Degrees in Nursing (ADNs)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Must submit a drug screening and criminal background check and show proof of current immunizations.
  • State license is a must.
  • Two years experience.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in nursing and a state-administered licensing examination.
  • Primary Care Nurse Practitioners (3 years experience)
  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (3 years experience)
  • Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (3 years experience)
  • Oncology Nurse Practitioner (5 years experience)
  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (Ph.D a must, 5 years + experience)

Requirements:
  • Graduate degree from a dental school fully accredited by the American Dental Association's (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation.
  • Must be state licensed.
  • Five years + experience is a must.

Requirements:
  • Associate, bachelor's and master's degree in dental hygiene.
  • State license is a must.
  • Two years experience.

Requirements:
  • Certificate of academic dental assisting programs accreditated by The Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association.
  • Two years experience.

Requirements:
  • Minimum high school diploma.
    College coursework in math, accounting and business preferred or an Associate degree in general study.
  • One-year certificate program in medical office administration preferred.
  • Two years experience.
